No rating.

It took me almost a month to finish this- which is unheard of for me. Even when I’m not into a book AT ALL, I finish in a week, tops. So what was my deal?

This is a great book. It’s funny, clever, fast paced. It’s written for 12 year old boys. I am a 27 year old woman.

As cute and irreverent and sweet as I thought this book was, the world building and story didn’t have enough “depth” for me.

But again, it wasn’t written for me. That’s not to say that all ages couldn’t enjoy this book, but I’m certainly not it’s target audience. Not even close.

If I had a 12 year old son, this is the first thing I would shove into his hands. These books are so sassy. It’s really the perfect book for reluctant readers.

So this will not be getting a star rating for me because I didn’t particularly enjoy it, but I do see why it’s so beloved.
